海上保安庁の一等海上保安監、次長、警備救難監、長官用の旧型制帽です。
帽章、顎紐、鍔の刺繍は現在の仕様と変わりがありませんでしたが、旧型は
紺もしくは黒の帽体に白い日覆いを被せて使用されていました。

The cap for Japan Coast Guard（ former Japan Maritime Safety Agency)
Superintendent 1st-Grade, Vice Commandant, Vice Commandant for Operation
and Commandant. Specification of cap emblem, chin strap and pattern of
embroidery on cap peak were same with current model, however old model
has dark blue or black cap crown same color with cap body. The cap was
usually used installing white cover as sunshade.

旧型制帽と一緒に着用された旧型（昭和46年改訂）制服と階級章です。
現在の２列３つボタン３つ掛けの制服に改訂されるまでは、２列３つボタン
２つ掛けの制服が着用されており、階級章も袖章ではなく、襟章が着用されました。
襟章は、旧警察の階級章と似た形の金属製の縦型で、コンパスマークが星
の代わりに使われました。

Old type uniform( Revised on year 1971 ) with rank insignia and old type cap
Current model uniform has 2 rows of 3 buttons with 3 hanging, however old model
uniform had 2 rows of 3 buttons with 2 hanging then rank insignia was not sleeve
insignia but metal rank insignia on upper lapel. The metal rank insignia was similar
with old rank insignia of police officerthen it has vartical shape. Metal marine compass
was used as rank star insetead of five pointed star.

一等海上保安監の襟章と鍔の刺繍です。金属の階級章は二等海上保安官
以上は金地に金のコンパスマークとなっていました。

Rank insignia for Superintendent 1st Grade and embroidery pattern of
cap peak. The rank insignia for offier upper 2nd Superintendent was gold
base with gold marine compass.

次長および警備救難監の襟章です。金属の金地に3つのコンパスマーク
となります。
